The department of Kurdnas (Kurdish Studies) was opened at Nawroz University for the academic year 2018-2019, and the department aims to prepare a cadre specializing in language, literature, heritage, history and geography of Kurdistan. The department accepts high school graduates with its scientific and literary branches, and the period of study in the department is four years
